Hi! How were your last two weeks? We were visiting family in New England, and it was so nice to take a little break from the city. Lots of swimming and grilling and yard games and soft serve ice cream! We’re back in Park Slope now, I’ve been busy prepping for the Open Streets pop-up tomorrow (will I see you there?). So, I don’t have a new interview to share today, but I have a very long list of local events happening this week and several interesting articles I read over the last few weeks. I hope you enjoy, and I’ll see you next Friday with a newsletter that I’m really excited about — it’s been in the works for a couple months!

NYC public school students will have a universal dress code for first time: The new dress code policy must be gender-neutral and take into account the "diverse cultures, gender expression and body diversity" of students, according to Councilmember Althea Stevens, who sponsored the legislation.
