Mitsuki Japanese Market Founder Reveals His Favorite Anime Series
A conversation with Mitsuki founder Jay Cao about the expansion into Park Slope.

Last weekend, Mitsuki Japanese Market opened its third location in Park Slope at 80 7th Avenue, between Berkeley Place and Union Street. The anime-themed specialty store is filled with Japanese candy, snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go lunches. They also sell toys, home goods, accessories, and fun gifts.
Yesterday afternoon, I spoke with founder Jay Cao about the two-day grand opening event, his favorite anime series, and how he feels about the expansion into Park Slope.

Kelley MacDonald: Congrats on opening your third location, Jay! I stopped by on Sunday morning, and it was packed! How was the grand opening weekend?
